Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Catherine “Cassie” Womack graduated from Knox College in 2019 with a degree in Creative Writing. Now, she writes for Dalstrong and enjoys spending time in the kitchen with her cat for company.

True to her Southern roots, Cassie's first sentence was “I love butter,” a food that she often snuck from the refrigerator as a child. Since then, her tastes have expanded, and she now enjoys experimenting with challenging new recipes and foods from around the world. However, her absolute favorite food is a simple bowl of fluffy mashed potatoes with lots of butter, of course.
