Paring Knife
As you grow your kitchen knife collection, paring knives become essential. The classic paring knife becomes your all rounder, a go to when cooking or performing any kitchen task. From hulling strawberries or dicing shallots, to coring tomatoes - a ceramic blade or stainless steel paring knife will do the trick. Whether it's a serrated paring knife or straight edge, it needs to have a razor sharp blade that keeps its edge retention. Some styles include : the spear point, a little knife that will cut and slice on a small surface; the bird’s beak paring knife, whose curved blade makes it fantastic at peeling fruits; the serrated edge, excellent for slicing larger fruits and vegetables; and the sheep’s foot paring knife, perfect for working on a cutting board. Dalstrong creates quality knives made of high carbon stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 56+ or higher.
Dalstrong
Knife Roll
A knife roll is indispensable to a professional chef, or anyone looking for knife storage to keep their blades sharp as they travel from kitchen to kitchen. Key features of a great knife roll include an adjustable shoulder strap and multiple pockets to carry utensils and other cooking tools of various sizes. Some items chefs might carry in their knife bags include a chef knife, tasting spoons, scissors, knife sharpener, and even a meat cleaver. Depending on your needs, you might consider a zippered compartment or zipper pouch to securely store items in your knife roll. Also, think about your prefered material. Popular options include full-grain black or brown leather with a durable waxed canvas. Whether it’s a leather knife roll or a canvas knife bag, a tight roll or a tool roll, large buckles or subtle zippers, Dalstrong makes a knife roll that will suit your needs.
Dalstrong
Bread Knife
Serrated knives (also known as bread knives) are a key piece to add to your kitchen knife collection. Whether slicing ripe tomatoes, soft fruit, or fresh bread loaves and crust, you will want a sharp edge bread slicer that will take care of business. Choose from our selection of stainless steel, razor-sharp blades, with serrated blade lengths ranging from 8 to 10.25 inches. When looking for a quality bread knife, look for a sharp, scalloped edge, that is comfortable to hold with durable grip, such as a pakkawood handle. Our bread knives come with ergonomic handles, allowing for greater comfort and control in your kitchen. Consider a stainless steel serrated bread knife to easily slice through your sourdough bread, baked goods, and other types of soft bread. When your task calls for a good bread knife, you can’t do better than a Dalstrong.
Dalstrong
Fillet Knife
The fillet knife is an excellent option for chefs and fish lovers to add to their collection of kitchen knives. A fish fillet knife has a thin, razor sharp, stainless steel blade. These fillet knives feature flexible blades, hand sharpened to 14-18 degree angles and have ergonomic handles with a nonslip grip. They are perfect for filleting big and small fish alike. Blade lengths typically run between 6 and 7 inches on these stunning, hard carbon stainless steel tools. The flex fillet knife’s sharp, thin, curved blade is ideal for working with fish. However, the flexible blade of a filleting knife can easily be used for non-fish proteins. The accompanying sheath protects your fillet knife when you are out of the kitchen and working with freshly caught fish. When fish is on the menu, don’t be caught without your sharp-edged, Dalstrong fillet knife.
Dalstrong
Cleaver Knife
The meat cleaver, or Chinese cleaver, is an essential tool to add to any chef’s kitchen arsenal. Our high carbon stainless steel cleavers offer great durability for chefs looking for a knife that can withstand the rigors of a busy kitchen. For slicing or chopping meat, chicken, fish, fruit, and vegetables, these heavy-duty cleavers are up to the task. The ideal blade length for a stainless steel Chinese cleaver is 7 to 9 inches. Although, we also offer a 4.5” mini-cleaver for small tasks like dicing garlic, and a 12” blade for serious tasks that require a butcher knife. Our hand-crafted meat cleavers are equipped with ergonomic, commonly wooden handles. The stainless steel sharp edge makes working with any ingredients, from vegetables to bone, on a cutting board, a cinch. When you require comfort, durability and power from your cutlery, you’ll want to turn to your Dalstrong cleavers.

Aprons
Every chef has a scar that proves they can take the heat and the pressure of blade, flame, and steel. Armor up with a Dalstrong chef’s apron or grill apron. Our aprons come in styles with neck straps, shoulder straps and other straps designed to provide the fit, style and comfort every chef needs. Adjustable bib aprons and waist aprons are practical kitchen aprons to keep away grease and stains, but professional chefs may prefer a style with pockets. The four-pocket apron, Night Rider apron, Kitchen Rambo apron and American Legend apron are all cotton aprons. The Gandalf apron is a denim apron, while the Sous Team 6 apron is a heavy-duty waxed canvas apron. The Culinary Commander apron is a sturdy leather apron, popular as a grill apron, for butchering meat, and anyone who likes black cooking aprons. All Dalstrong aprons have water repellent coating to protect you and your gear from stains and damage. Upgrade your kitchen linens with a Dalstrong cooking, grilling, baking, or butchering apron today.

Steak Knives
Steak knives are a staple of cutlery at home and in a restaurant. A quality steak is a high carbon stainless steel knife, with a Rockwell hardness over 56 and a razor sharp edge. Its ergonomic knife handle will be made of a strong material like wood, and give your hand a comfortable grip while slicing or chopping. Consider a smooth edge blade for clean cuts, a hollowed edge with measured indentations for fine slicing, or the classic style with a serrated edge. While a serrated blade is the most common for steak knives, and retains its edge for longer — offering greater durability, one might argue that a straight blade is easier to sharpen. The choice between the two is a matter of taste. While a chef’s knife or Japanese knife is for preparing your prime rib, grab a Dalstrong steak knife to truly enjoy your piece of meat.
Dalstrong
Nakiri Knife
One of the many Japanese knife styles popular today, the nakiri knife is a worthy addition to any chef’s kitchen tools collection. Made for cutting greens, this Japanese knife’s slender, straight blade edge is perfect for slicing through a vegetable. Forged of high carbon stainless steel, the blade length is similar to that of a santoku, but with a totally straight edge for chopping vegetables. From slicing cucumber to dicing tomatoes, the rectangular blade is ideal for preparing your veggies. The classic nakiri knife’s harder steel lends the blade excellent edge retention — meaning less time between sharpening and more time spent cutting delicate vegetables. Make sure to choose a nakiri knife with an ergonomic handle for extra comfort while cutting and mincing. Check out Dalstrong’s superb selection: no matter what vegetable you need to cut, this Japanese style knife with high rockwell hardness will do the job.
Dalstrong
Boning Knife
Although not as common among kitchen knives as the chef’s knife or paring knife, the classic boning knife makes precise cuts of chicken and beef much simpler. Though similar to filleting knives, the boning knife does more of the heavy-duty work, like cutting around bone and tougher meat, while the fillet knife is there to finish the job. Our boning knives have narrow blades forged of high carbon stainless steel, with pointed tips and incredible edge retention. These beautiful knives have ergonomic handles, which offer you a comfortable grip. Depending on your kitchen needs, consider a stiff boning knife with a heavier blade and greater durability or a flexible blade, which offers more control. You may also prefer the precision of a curved blade. Our corrosion resistant, stainless steel blades pass the rockwell hardness test, coming in over 56+ HRC. It’s time to add a Dalstrong boning knife to your arsenal.
Dalstrong
Carving Knives
If you enjoy prime rib, ham, or roast beef, a carving knife is an essential slicer for making uniform cuts of meat. A carving knife has less surface area than the chef’s knife, and makes cutting thin slices of large roasts simple while also doubling as a bread knife. The best carving knives feature stainless steel blades, with superior edge retention, and a rockwell hardness over 56. Ergonomic handles, often made of wood, add comfort and ease. Choose from the classic beauty of a german steel, or the durability of a high carbon, Japanese steel blade. Also, some chefs prefer a granton edge to reduce sliding friction. While an electric carving knife may be tempting, it is actually inferior to a quality stainless steel slicing knife. Choose from one of our stunning, razor sharp blades, stamped with the Dalstrong iconic lion insignia, and pair it with a quality carving fork.

Knife Storage
In a busy kitchen, there’s no room for clutter. A drawer full of knives is dangerous and can dull your knives. Proper storage like a knife block or magnetic knife bar is the best way to protect your knife collection. Keep your knives sharper, cleaner, and safer with proper storage at home and on the road. Whether you’re showcasing your knives in one of Dalstrong’s magnetic knife walls or packing a knife bag to travel to an onsite location, Dalstrong’s knife storage options are designed for optimal durability, safety, and security. Maximize blade safety and access with a magnetic knife bar in the kitchen, Dalstrong magnetic blade walls and knife bars use minimal space and keep blades visible and in reach. Knife blocks also keep knives safe and ready to use, without risk of getting damp or damaged in a drawer. Keep your kitchen investments safe with knife rolls, blocks, and magnetic knife walls and bars.

Knife Maintenance
Dalstrong knives come sharp and have great edge retention, but even the best blades need sharpening after hours of use in a busy kitchen. Having a good honing rod or steel, some whetstones, and a rust eraser will ensure you can keep a mercilessly sharp razor edge on your knives year over year. Honing steels are a quick way to bring an edge back to shape. Whetstones are for precision sharpening and can be used on knives, scissors, and other bladed tools. Whetstones come in different grits for different sharpening purposes. Lower grit stones are best for repairing and sharpening dull or damaged blades, while the higher grit can polish the blade and bring it to a screamingly sharp edge. For quick cosmetic touch-ups to the surface or face of your knife, the rust eraser rubs away corrosion and scuffs — keeping your blades looking shiny, new, and sharp.
Dalstrong
Serrated Knives
Serrated knives, with their scalloped edge, are brilliant at cutting crusty loaves or cake without splintering them, or slicing soft fruits without destroying them. Their sharp teeth will grip into crusty bread in a way that a plain edge knife, like a steak knife or chef’s knife could not. The serrated blades of a quality serrated knife also require less sharpening than a straight edged knife. However, sometimes the cutting board underneath may dull your serrated edge. In these cases, consider a manual knife sharpener like a honing steel or ceramic honing rod for sharpening the saw-like teeth of your serrated knives. Our serrated bread knives feature pointed serrations and an ergonomic handle. Consider serrated blades on your boning knife and paring knife, as well. The serrated utility knife is also a handy tool to add to your knife block. Just remember, when choosing a serrated knife blade, choose Dalstrong.
Dalstrong
Sushi Knives
While you could use a chef’s knife, kitchen knife, or paring knife to make sushi, a high carbon steel sushi knife is going to make your slicing more simple and your presentation more beautiful. A good sushi knife will infrequently require sharpening, and due to its durability, save you money in the end. Look for sushi knives with great edge retention, a rockwell hardness score over 56, and a comfortable ergonomic handle — often a wooden handle. For thin slices, consider a thin blade, with a razor sharp edge, to handle your cutting. With sushi knives you have choices. A deba knife is a traditional single bevel Japanese knife. Kiritsuke and santoku are versatile sashimi knives. A yanagiba sushi knife has a narrow blade and acute edge angle. Next time you prepare sushi rolls on your cutting board, consider a stainless steel, Dalstrong sushi knife.
Dalstrong
Brisket Knives
You’ve prepared a lovely smoked brisket, and now you need the best knife for slicing brisket. You could choose an electric knife, but you want to cut the perfect slice. Therefore, you will want to use a quality stainless steel carving knife. A manual knife, with a sharp edge and razor sharp blade, possibly even a granton edge. Now, which brisket knife is the right knife for you? A classic brisket knife might have a straight blade for slicing cleanly. Some chefs prefer a serrated blade, which has teeth that will grab into your meat. The scalloped blade incorporates elements of the previous two blades. The right brisket knife is a matter of taste; however, just as you have your boning knife and filet knife for specialized purposes, if you want beautiful brisket slices, you will want to cut it with a high carbon stainless steel Dalstrong slicing & carving knife, with a comfortable ergonomic handle.
Dalstrong
Utility Knives
The utility knife is your jack of all trades knife — your kitchen’s version of a box cutter. Not to be confused with a folding utility knife or the retractable blade that often uses the same name, kitchen utility knives have scalloped edges and a medium-short blade. A sharp utility knife is perfect for slicing fruits and vegetables, and they're an ideal tool for food prep. Of course, the utility knife’s stainless steel blade can manage all your slicing and cutting needs, as well. Unlike the paring knife, the utility knife is a larger and more versatile cutter. Make sure to give your hand a break with a comfortable, ergonomic handle and rubber grip. Remember, the utility knife’s standard steel blade must be razor sharp, not a replaceable blade. Get yourself a sweet Dalstrong utility knife, and keep your cutting edge razor sharp with smart blade storage.
Dalstrong
Magnetic Knife Holders
When you invest in quality stainless steel knives, you want a place to store them that keeps the knife blades sharp. Magnetic knife holders offer an aesthetically pleasing, hygienic way to manage your counter space and open up room in your knife drawer. With magnetic knife racks you get what you pay for — unlike a cheap magnetic knife strip or knife bar. You want your magnetic knife holder to have a strong magnet, but one that doesn’t require too much force to remove the knife. You will also want to check how to properly attach your knives and cutlery to the magnetic strip, before using it. A powerful magnetic bar will also hold kitchen utensils, like kitchen shears and scissors, as well. When evaluating knife racks or utensil holders you have options on material. Decorate your counter or kitchen wall with a powerful Dalstrong magnetic knife rack.

Cutting Boards
Shield your blades and countertops with Dalstrong wood cutting boards and plastic cutting boards. Dalstrong cutting boards can withstand countless hours of chopping, dicing and slicing, and still look good. Use your wood cutting board as a beautiful platter for charcuterie, roasts and cheeses. Engineered for durability, usability, and beauty, Dalstrong cutting boards protect the razor edges of your knives, clean easily, and showcase your culinary creations. Whether you choose a wood cutting board crafted from sustainably sourced Tropical Teak wood, or engineered from premium wood-fiber, Dalstrong cutting boards are all-purpose chopping and serving boards. The teak wood cutting boards are naturally resistant to water, bacteria, and staining. The eco-friendly wood-fiber composite construction cutting boards are slimmer, lighter, highly functional, and extremely practical kitchen cutting boards. The unrivaled wood-fiber cutting board design is durable and lightweight. Dalstrong wood cutting boards are easy to clean and care for. Whichever cutting board you choose, the Dalstrong logo will be the emblem of culinary prestige.

Honing Rods
The honing steel, or honing rod, is used for straightening the knife’s edge. It assists the knife’s edge in keeping its original position, without losing much metal in the process. Honing steels are often mistaken with sharpening steels, used to sharpen knives. However, while the honing rod does not sharpen a knife’s blade, it’s crucial for maintaining the blade’s edge between sharpenings. When considering a honing tool, look for a steel hone, ceramic steel, or diamond sharpening steel. Just like a cutting board, a good honing steel made of quality materials like these is guaranteed to last for decades. Make sure your honing rod comes with a comfortable, ergonomic handle to make your honing easy to manage. If you're serious about your knife steel and are through with trying to use a dull knife, get yourself a Dalstrong honing steel and avoid ever having a blunt knife in your kitchen.
Dalstrong
Whetstones
Once you have a knife, you’ll need a sharpening tool. One excellent option for sharpening and polishing your knives is a whetstone. These sharpening tools turn dull edges into razor sharp edges on any blade: from a chef’s knife, to a Japanese knife — even a hunting knife. The best whetstones combine natural whetstone with manufactured material. When using a whetstone knife sharpener, sharpen your knives with a coarse grit whetstone of #1000 grit or less, and polish them with a fine grit stone of over #4000. You’ll want a wet stone, when sharpening and polishing your knives, as the water on the whetstone surface will create a slurry mix of particles and sharp pebbles that will sharpen steel. An oil stone (kerosene is popular) sharpens chisels and planes. Look at the Dalstrong sharpening guide for more tips, after you get yourself a whetstone with the Dalstrong lion insignia.
Dalstrong
Santoku Knives
The santoku knife is a versatile knife worth adding to your collection of kitchen tools. This Japanese knife’s thin blade and razor sharp straight edge will leave paper thin slices of meat or vegetables on your cutting board. Sometimes the santoku knife is lumped in with the western style chef’s knife, but they excel in different ways. The chef’s knife’s blade is normally stainless steel with a blade length between 8-12”, while the santoku’s blade is 5-7″ of high carbon Japanese steel. The santoku’s harder steel lends the blade excellent edge retention — meaning less time between sharpening. Another difference is that the santoku blade merges seamlessly with its ergonomic handle, while the chef’s knife has a bolster. In general, santoku knives are better for chopping, and chef’s knives are better used with a rocking motion. Once you decide on a santoku knife, check out Dalstrong’s superb selection.

Skillets
When the butter is sizzling and you are about to fry eggs, cheese, and bacon for breakfast you will want to use a non-stick skillet or frying pan. Less messy than a cast-iron skillet, a non-stick skillet still has slanted sides and a large cooking surface, which make it an excellent pan for stir-frying your veggies. Get your onions, mushrooms, artichokes, pepper, and seasoning on the skillet and have stir-fry ready in minutes. With non-stick, you can make your meal even healthier, as you won’t need to add oil. A high-quality stainless steel skillet can handle medium and high heat when you want to sear a steak or chicken breast. Use a wooden spoon, rather than metal utensils, to avoid chipping the skillet. Consider a Dalstrong fry pan or skillet, coated in ceramic or Teflon for even heat conduction — it will quickly become one of your favorite kitchen allies.
Dalstrong
Sauté Pans
Stainless steel sauté pans are versatile pans, excellent for healthy cooking. Unlike a nonstick skillet, the sauté pans' straight sides give it a larger cooking surface for slow cooking items over low heat. A nonstick sauté fry pan comes in different sizes. A shallow pan functions well for your pan frying and sautéing needs. Make your pasta in a deep sauté pan. It is key that your sauté pan comes with a lid — some prefer a glass lid, so that you can make your sauce, as well. Non-stick sauté pans can use two different nonstick coatings: teflon and ceramic. Though easier to clean than a cast iron pan, be careful when washing your nonstick sauté pan, as ceramic ones are still not always dishwasher safe. Whether you need a saucepan or a wok, Dalstrong offers a sauté pan, with a stainless steel handle, controlling heat while empowering your cooking.
Dalstrong
Stock Pots
A stock pot is another essential piece to your kitchen cookware set. Stainless steel stock pots, or dutch ovens, feature aluminum cores for optimal high heat retention and an even heat distribution. A large stock pot is excellent for boiling water for pasta, cooking a broth, boiling seafood, or making a hearty stew. In a pinch, these soup pots can even serve to prepare casserole. Choose your stock pot in a 5 quart or 8 quart pot, depending on whether you are preparing a medium or large batch. Our stock pots are available with stainless steel handles and stainless steel or tempered glass lids. They are dishwasher and oven safe. While cast iron can be difficult to maintain, our nonstick stainless steel pots make for easy cleaning. So, the next time you’re craving a delicious soup, go in the kitchen and place your Dalstrong stock pot on the stove.

Knife Bags
Dalstrong makes sharp knives, so we knew we had to make a bag that could carry these blades. We found two materials strong enough to pass muster: a premium Brazilian leather and a nylon so strong World War II airmen used it to protect against flying debris and shrapnel. If you invest in pro-quality knives and culinary tools, a chef’s knife bag is essential to keep your knives safe and sharp during travel, transport, or storage. When shopping for a chef knife bag, consider the quality of the fabric. Our high-quality leather and ballistic nylon options are durable, easy to clean, and aesthetically pleasing. If you don’t always want to carry your slot knife bag by its handle, get it with a shoulder strap. While a velcro strap might fit some personal styles, you might want a thick, leather strap when carrying your sharp knives and kitchen utensils. Whether you opt for the smooth, top-grain leather or the ballistic nylon, your Dalstrong knife bag will be the last knife bag you will ever need.
Dalstrong
Japanese Knives
The Japanese are master blade crafters and knife makers. The samurai sword, Japanese sword, and Japanese knife are highly sought after by collectors and chefs alike. In the kitchen, every chef worth their salt will have japanese blades in their collection. A high carbon steel Japanese blade will be razor sharp, and often requires less sharpening than european knives. There are many options to consider when looking for a fine Japanese knife. One is the usuba knife, which is a single bevel vegetable slicing knife. Another, the gyuto knife: a double bevel utility knife, similar to a western style chef’s knife. Also, the yanagiba knife, which has a thinner blade and is used to cut sashimi and sushi. Whether you are a sushi chef or an aspiring cook, looking for a thinner or thicker blade, Dalstrong’s stainless steel Japanese kitchen knives and cutlery are essential tools for your collection.

Bring some edge to your kitchen knife collection, with Dalstrong kitchen knives. Each knife in your kitchen arsenal serves a different purpose. Chefs handle a lot of bread, vegetables, and meat, and there’s a Dalstrong knife for each one. Chef knives are the all-around workhorse, but a well-equipped kitchen should also have a santoku knife, a paring knife, a bread knife, and other kitchen knives. Japanese knives like the Santoku kitchen knife and the Nakiri kitchen knife are vegetable slicing masters. The blade type, shape of the handle, and angle of the blade all impact how kitchen knives perform. Chefs will use a knife with a carbon steel blade to handle tough meat, while a stainless steel blade is better for a fillet knife. Stainless steel cutlery and kitchen knife blades are durable and stain resistant. Dalstrong cutlery is made with stainless steel and comfortable handles. Every chef deserves a cutting edge kitchen knife collection.
