1. How To Prepare Raw ShrimpIf you’re working with frozen shrimp, you will need to thaw them to room temperature. This is because you can’t insert wooden skewers into frozen shrimp or marinate them. To bring shrimp to room temperature, place them in a bowl with cold water. Change the water 2-3 times and you’re all set to marinate them.
Since shrimps are delicate and small, you want to avoid overcooking them. You always want to work with peeled and deveined shrimp. It is quite easy to do this, and I’ll be going into more detail about this later, so read on!
2. How To Cook Grilled Shrimp – Detailed Guide
You can make easy grilled shrimp with wooden skewers, or you can serve meal prep to use them for other dinner recipes or with a dipping sauce like garlic butter. Just like grilled pork, you want your shrimp skewers to have a char on them, too – Which is when charcoal grills are an excellent help! When the shrimp is no longer translucent, take them off your grill pan.
I’ve followed many grilling recipes, and narrowed down an easy method to cook grilled shrimp!
Easy Grilled Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients List:Garlic Butter Sauce
- 8 tablespoons or 1 stick of unsalted butter
- Dash of olive oil and lemon juice
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 clove garlic
- Italian seasoning blend
- Cilantro lime
- Kosher salt and pepper
- Olive oil and lemon juice
- Cayenne pepper
- Garlic and herbs
- Peeled and deveined shrimp
Garlic Butter Sauce
- Gather all the ingredients listed above and pat dry your cooking station and cutting board with paper towels if damp.
Soften unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 10-15 seconds.
- Add in 1 stick of unsalted butter, minced garlic, cilantro, lime, and a dash of olive and lemon juice.
- In a bowl, mix minced garlic, Italian seasoning blend, cilantro, lime, kosher salt and pepper, cayenne pepper, and a dash of olive oil and lemon juice.
- Coat the peeled shrimp pieces with the marinade and set them aside for 30 minutes.
- Soak wooden skewers into water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Insert the wooden skewers into the shrimp and place them on the grill pan or grill grates.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Remove the skewers from the grill when the shrimp isn’t translucent anymore.
Grilling The Shrimp
- Cook asparagus or chunks of broccoli and cauliflower in an air fryer and serve with the dipping sauce.

1. Spicy Grilled Shrimp
- Large shrimp peeled and deveined
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Lemon juice
- Smoked paprika
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Dried oregano
- Dried basil

- Build a medium-high heat fire on your pellet, charcoal, or gas grill.
- Marinate your shrimp with cayenne pepper, dried basil, onion powder, dried oregano, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and juice of one lemon.
- Marinate for 20 minutes.
- Thread the skewers into the raw shrimp and sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper before placing them on the grill pan.
- Grill for 2-3 minutes or until the raw shrimp has a golden hue.
- Flip the skewers and transfer them to a plate with cooking tongs.

- Reduce the medium heat to low heat and add shrimp back to the skillet.

- Raw shrimp peeled and deveined
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Peanut oil, canola oil, or rice bran oil.
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- Green onions, minced

- Soy sauce
